| NEW SPEC DEACTIVATED .45CAL 1943 DATED COLT 1911A1 PISTOL in really nice clean condition with signs of use to the metal work finish and fitted plastic grips that show no damage. This example has a Remington Rand top slide with a Colt lower frame with refurbish markings to frame indicating RIA (Rock Island Armoury) so it was common to have miss-matched parts post war. At some point this pistol was used for Humane Disptach, hence to two small slots to top front slide and barrel. Deactivated with some moving parts but does not cock and dry fore or strip down. | NEW SPEC DEACTIVATED .45CAL 1944 DATED COLT 1911A1 PISTOL a really nice clean example showing signs of use to the metal work finish and fitted plastic grips that show no damage. This example was manufactured in 1944 by Remington Rand,so both the slide and lower frame are matching pieces. However at some point after WW2 the trigger guard was modified and made larger, very common thing to be done on post war pistols, so hence the 'square' shape. Comes complete with lanyard ring, matching numbers and is deactivated with some moving parts including cylinder rotates when trigger is pulled, but does not cock and dry fire and will not take inert rounds as the cylinder is blocked.
